Hi Phil and list,

Well, this seems to becoming more and more recurring, and I have done
a little more digging around in the logs and stuff.

It seems that the backend crashes *ALWAYS* around when a recording is
started or finished. I am worried that it could be something dodgy
that is external to mythbackend (i.e. the kernel is throwing up an
error or two that the backend isn't handling too well.

The following are log file snippits from the last two crashes.

Kernel version:
djwhyte at myth:~$ uname -a
Linux myth 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Thu Jun 7 20:19:32 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

mythTV version:
Status version="0.20.20060828-3" protoVer="31" time="10:02 AM"
date="Mon Aug 13 2007"

Running on Ubuntu feisty, with the official Ubuntu packages and three
DVB-T cards in Australia.

Any insight from anyone would be a big help, but I think the interim
solution is to get Monit running to ensure the BE comes straight back
up.
