[mythtv-users] mythfrontend runs on one machine, not another.

OK, this is one of those, 'It used to work things'
I had mysql problems and rebuilt the database (which is to say, I started from
scratch), and now I can run mythfrontend on the machine where mythbackend runs,
I can run it on my normal 'main machine',
But I CANT run it on the diskless host that is on a separate ethernet (from
the
backend) and will go in by my TV. THIS USED TO WORK!

I have tried to get a core dump, but the Linux doesnt seem to want to give me
one,
even tho I have set the core dump size to unlimited.

Here are the messages I get from mythfrontend before it dies:

2007-08-22 14:23:12.252 Using runtime prefix = /usr/local
2007-08-22 14:23:12.259 DPMS is active.

2007-08-22 14:23:12.714 Switching to square mode (G.A.N.T.)
mythfrontend: Fatal IO error: client killed

If this were to work (on the other machines), the next line would be

2007-08-22 14:39:38.837 Using the Qt painter

So, any ideas on what is wrong?
Any idea on how to get this thing to drop a core dump (if that would be
useful?)

Im in my usual state of puzzlement about mythtv and not sure what to try next
(the frontend machine uses the SAME binaries as the backend machine, so there
is no problem there).
