is there some nice linux command that lists what file systems your devices are using? (and if not, why not? one shouldn't have to go attempt to repartition the drives to get an answer to this (which is the only place i've seen it, albeit most often in Windows)
(and Jay, you left me a Linux install disc, but didn't tell me how to partition the drive - unless Linux plans to tell me, email me at my regular address (yes i just moved this list) and let me know?)
