[mythtv-users] No Sound since FC8 Upgrade

No such error messages.

Further investigation with mplayer reveals that
   -ao oss works fine
   -ao alsa  doesnt work -various config error messages.

Unfortunately I dount understand enough about linux sound to understand what 
this really means :-(

Have you tried running mythtv from the shell about 1 out of 5 times I
start mythtv I get no sound. I get an error like /dev/dsp is in use
disabling audio. To fix this exit mythtv and restart the alsasound
daemon.
