Yea, that's what I'll probably end up doing.  I'm running
x11-libs/qt-3.3.8-r4 under Gentoo and the only older version available
in portage is x11-libs/qt-3.3.4-r8, and no newer versions are
available there.  The odd thing is that I've been running 3.3.8-r4 for
a long time as far as I can tell and it never segfaulted until the
other updates I installed...so I guess it only segfaults in
conjunction with some other factors...possibly the newer kernel.

I'm glad it's harmless in any case.
