[mythtv-users] Missing dvb recordings

I've recently set up MythTV and am generally happy. Something weird has
started happening to DVB recordings, though - they go missing with no
apparent error. Has anyone seen this behavior before?

Here's an example from tonight. It started recording Scrubs on channel
2361; mythbackend.log snippet:

2007-12-17 17:30:02.246 Started recording: Scrubs "My Interpretation":
channel 2361 on cardid 3, sourceid 2

and finished:

2007-12-17 18:00:01.060 Finished recording Scrubs "My Interpretation":
channel 2361

It did not transcode (which is weird - I have it set up for
autotranscode but see no log entries relating to this).

And was missing when I attempted to view it:

2007-12-17 19:27:11.901 Preview Error: Previewer file
'/var/lib/mythtv/recordings/2361_20071217173000.mpg' is not valid.
2007-12-17 19:27:11.903 MainServer: Failed to make preview image.
2007-12-17 19:27:11.905 MainServer::HandleAnnounce FileTransfer

RingBuf(/var/lib/mythtv/recordings/2361_20071217173000.mpg.png): Could
not open /var/lib/mythtv/recordings/2361_20071217173000.mpg.png.

I've verified on the filesystem that
/var/lib/mythtv/recordings/2361_20071217173000.* does not exist.

I don't see any smoking guns in the log, though I'd be happy to provide
complete logs if anyone's interested.

My setup:
* Mythbuntu; mythtv-backend 0.20.2+fixes15017-0ubuntu0~mythbuntu1
* pcHDTV HD-5500
* Hauppage PVR-500

I'd appreciate any hints anyone could give me.
