This doesn't make any difference, still the same. I guess it is due to the hardware/driver, see http://www.mail-archive.com/xpert@xfree86.org/msg08981.html
They say there, that if a application is aware of XvQueryBestSize, it could do scaling in software when the hardware/driver will not. Anyone knows about a video player which can be used within mythtv and is aware of that?
