Gee, an audio compander would be nice..<==hint===hint. I've occasionally 
seen/heard this during rain/snow storms here...I run
an Alpha-230 amp for my center front, and the sat signal had gotten low, 
one glitch and it took out my center
speaker...scared everyone in the house, not sure about the neighbors..
