[mythtv-users] MythTV- where are the names of "deleted recordings" kept?

I accidentally deleted some files (recordings) in my
storage directory for 
recordings. 
(Stupid, I know, but I am still learning how all this
stuff works together to 
make this wonderful program). 
Now, if I go to "TV" then "delete recordings" and
click it open, there are a 
list of shows that I have deleted, but when I try to
delete the listing,, 
nothing happens. Actually it will disappear for a
moment, then magically 
re-appear. 
Not a big deal, but if someone could help I'd be
thankful...
