[mythtv-users] one tuner (cable box) and two cards (plextor, firewire)

Hi,
I've been trying to figure this one out, but I haven't found any
useful information... I've had mythtv running beautifully for a
year and a half using a Plextor ConvertX M402U, connected to a
Comcast HD digital cable box. After my old cable box died
spontaneously a few weeks ago, they replaced it with a new
DCT6208, so I went and bought a firewire cable and set everything
up so now I can get higher quality recordings of certain
unencrypted channels.

But here's my problem: there's only one underlying tuner,
although I can capture it in two different ways. The Plextor
encoder can capture any channel at a reasonable quality, while
the firewire carries only some channels at a much higher quality.
But they're the same thing.

In mythtv-setup, I've created two capture cards, and then I've
created two video sources to reflect the different channels.
After associating them in input connections, as expected, mythtv
happily starts scheduling simultaneous recordings with the cards,
which obviously won't work. What would be the right way to do this?
Thanks,
