I've tried that too, and no go.  :-(  Which distribution are you using?  I
tried it on Ubuntu Edgy and then Feisty.  Didn't work on either of them.

Also, did you have to use the little loop to plug it into the audio card?

I'll have to get this working because my PVR-150 and Kworld (actually, ivtv
and v4l) aren't playing nice together.
