[mythtv-users] Occasionally recorded videos have no sound?

Hi,

I'm using a PVR-350 and Myth 0.20 on Ubuntu Edgy.  I'm just recording
off the antenna.  Normally everything works fine, but sometimes a
whole show will record and there will be no sound when I try to play
it back.  It still records the video portion, but the movie file
itself seems to have no sound even when I play it with an external
player like mplayer or vlc.

There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the failures, and I've tried
to look at the logs to see if anything shows up there but I don't see
anything particularly telling.  I've attached a backend log, where it
failed to record sound for "The Class" at 19:30, in case that helps at
all.

I don't know how to really figure out what's causing this, and
unfortunately it happens only once or twice a week so it's hard to
reproduce.  The only other thing I can really think about saying is
that sometimes when I'm using XMMS, it'll go to switch songs and I'll
get a message that the sound card is already in use.  I have to click
OK, then i can click again to play the next song.  So maybe there's
something buggy with my sound card drivers, but I don't know if that
would even have any impact on recording the sound to the file.
Anyway, lspci reports that the sound card is the Intel Corporation
82801G (ICH7 Family) variety.

Anyway, any ideas on what I might be able to do to help diagnose this problem?
