Hi All...
I'm having an ongoing problem with the backend dying in the middle of livetv
or playback of recordings. Maybe someone on the list can shed some light on
the problem... it's getting so bad that I might have to look at Sage again.
Typically, it looks like this in the logs:
2007-02-15 20:36:50.124 adding: legolas as a remote file transfer
2007-02-15 20:36:50.727 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback

2007-02-15 20:36:52.042 adding: legolas as a remote file transfer
2007-02-15 20:37:18.019 Unknown file transfer socket: 21
2007-02-15 20:37:19.997 Using runtime prefix = /usr
The socket number varies, usually 15 or 21.
Rather than flood the list I've posted more complete logs here:
http://mitchwood.com/tmp/mythbackend.log.1
This has been happening on various builds of 0.20, and I switched from Gentoo
to Ubuntu on both clients and server with no improvements.
My configuration is 3 tuner cards, 2 of which have cable tv feeds, and the
third is connected (via svideo/audio) to a digital cable reciever tuned to a
single channel.
Anyone have any ideas?
Sean
