Sorry for the top post but it is just what I am used to and what my mail
client defaults to. I will remember not to do this in the future.

 I think have tried every possible volume slider in alsa mixer and none make
a difference. I do this while I have something playing to make it easier to
hear a difference. Myth's internal volume controls are disabled as well. I
solved my audio dropouts on AC3 material, seemed to be a conflict with XvMC,
which I have shut off for now and went back to libmpeg2 for playback for now
which seems to work smoothly.

Thanks for the suggestions. Is there a specific volume slider I should
check. Although I believe I have slid them all to varying points with no
change to my stereo audio. AC3/DTS works as it should with proper output.
