All the local broadcast stations broadcast in HDTV, and I live downtown in the middle of a city, within spitting distance of several TV stations, so receiving HDTV over-the-air should be no problem.

I've got 2 Technisat Airstar HD-5000 cards in my system which work
well. They're Digital TV only cards that do ATSC (8VSB) reception or
Digital Cable (QAM-256) reception I think although I don't have cable
available here at home. The best thing about these cards is that they
are dvb cards that don't need firmware loaded to run.

These seem to be discontinued or specialty model cards, but there are
other models with the Analog Tuner as well.
