Because you are installing pre-compiled binaries of MythTV from
atrpms.net, which due to storage space issues has only the latest
couple of builds online, then not easily. The only way you could go
the 'easy' route was if someone else (could be you on your current
backend system) had the exact build you want still cached via yum on
their system and sent you the binaries (or made them available)
privately.

Each new build of MythTV on atrpms.net comes from a particular
Subversion revision on the MythTV development server, so it may be the
case that if you want to stay with an older version of MythTV and find
binaries unavailable, you will need to manually checkout the same
revision of the source code that your existing backend is running, and
then compile it yourself.

Because builds from atrpms.net are tested by a lot of uses, problems
with them are typically noticed quickly. I would be tempted to backup
your current mythconverg database and note your current revision
(mythbackend --version), and then update your backend to a current
atrpms.net version. Once this is back up and running (and the database
updates have gone through) you can then install the new frontend from
the same atrpms.net version and everything will be in sync.

The more systems you have, the more of a task it can become keeping
all machines in sync with each other. The easy way to do this if you
want to keep using pre-compiled binaries it to upgrade all machines at
the same time. Other ways of keeping machines in sync include
compiling from source yourself on each machine, creating a set of
binaries yourself to use on all of your machines, or using a distro
(such as a Gentoo-based one) which takes most of the hassle out of
upgrading from source.
