... after a little Googling ...
The t() function does language translations, and if the argument text isn't in
/var/www/html/mythweb/modules/_shared/lang/English.lang
then I guess !!NoTrans ....!! is wrapped around the string. So, removing the
function, like:
'NHL Hockey'
=> 'program.title LIKE "NHL Hockey%"',
makes the menu entry OK.
