I just pulled down the SVN version of Myth and built it on SuSe Linux
Enterprise Desktop 10. I made sure lame, qt-mysql and qt-devel were
installed and that the environment variables were setup before
compiling.
When I run nythtv-setup, it cannot connect to mysql. The daemon is
running. The relevant error info I get is
QSqlDatabase: QMYSQL3 driver not loaded
QSqlDatabase: available drivers:
2007-01-01 04:38:05.170 New DB connection, total: 1
2007-01-01 04:38:05.171 Unable to connect to database!
2007-01-01 04:38:05.171 No error type from QSqlError? Strange...
QSqlQuery::exec: database not open
QSqlQuery::exec: database not open
2007-01-01 04:38:05.223 DB Error (KickDatabase):
Query was:
SELECT NULL;
I am not able to manually go into mysql - access denied. Clearly
something is awry .... Anyone have some mysql insight that would help
here??
Rich
By the way - Happy New Year!!

Remember, all Windows machines are, by definition, fault tolerant.
They run Windows don't they!!
