No, I mean that mpeg2cut is built in.

Lots of reasons. primarily, avi doesn't support anamorphic display, and
doesn't have accurate enough AV sync options.

Chris can you explain how mpeg2cut works in MythTV?
ie is it in 0.20? and where do you access this function?
