As I understand "cable card" there are DVB cards with cable card
slots working under Linux. I don't know about DVB-C cards, bit it is
possible to receive an encrypted DVB-S stream with MythTV and an
appropriate CAM card.
However the reading I've done about ATi's All-In-Wonder-Why-They-
Bother cards indicates that ATi's Linux drivers don't offer access to
the tuner (or at least, haven't to date). As I understand it. it is
possible to use All-In-Wonders to output to your monitor or TV, but
the tuner functions are useless.
So if you wish to record encrypted cable, I think it might simply
(or, rather, not-so-simply - I guess drivers may still be in beta
state) be possible to do so with a separate tuner card of a different
brand, and forgoing the integrated nature of the all-in-wonder.
Stroller.
