If yours has an IR receiver AND an IR blaster on it, then, yes, you have
to patch lirc and rebuild it. I didn't have any luck with the cvs ones..
I ended up using the one downloaded from
http://www.blushingpenguin.com/mark/blog/?p=19. At least, I think that
was it... I ended up trying a couple of different patches until I got it
to build and install (I posted to this list about it, so you can check
the archives). It worked well, but since my STB has a "home control"
port on it, I built the cable necessary to connect to my STB directly to
have it change the channels directly.
