Comm-detect code would be reduced to a couple of lines if they would
just ALL do that. :) I don't mind sitting through the funny Apple
commercials and the cool new car commercials - even commercials for
TV shows that are like the one I'm watching are ok. I don't want to
sit through commercials for diapers, feminine hygiene, hair color and
the million other products for which I have no need. Instead of
technology to stop commercial skipping/cutting, networks need to
invest in technology that will deliver the ads I want to see.
Advertisers need to produce ads that I want to see. Quite frankly, if
they are able to find a way to force me to watch commercials, I'll
just turn off the TV for good. Now what have they gained?
