Matt,

you say I need to install the ivtv_xdriver. Isn't that the file I
ivtvdev_drv.so that I have here?
/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.so
I listed it up above but I called it Xdriver instead of ivtv_xdriver. I
downloaded it from hellion.org.uk as I have xorg 7.1 in mandriva which is
supposed to be an issue?

Also what do you mean but "all the modprobe info set"? Here's what I have

[malcolms at mythtv ~]$ cat /etc/modprobe.preload | grep -v \# | sed -e '/^$/d'
ivtv
ivtv
ivtv_fb
via-agp
via-agp
lirc_i2c

[root at mythtv malcolms]# lsmod |grep ivtv
ivtv_fb 29144 0
ivtv 192080 2 ivtv_fb
i2c_algo_bit 9352 4 cx88xx,rivatv,bttv,ivtv
v4l1_compat 14212 2 cx8800,ivtv
tveeprom 14192 3 cx88xx,bttv,ivtv
i2c_core 17536 13

videodev 8064 5 cx8800,cx88xx,rivatv,bttv,ivtv

Thanks
Malcolm
