Hi :) I'm brand new to the list so I don't know the background for this
discussion so my answer will be on a general basis.

I've got the LC17 in black. It hasn't got any extra buttons or a
display, but it looks very good (for those that like minimalistic
styling) and has lots of room for all your extra stuff.

Although people who has tampered with HTPC-building themselves recognize
it as a PC, most other people that visit thinks it's a really high-end
amp or something similar. It has a very good-looking brushed aluminum
front and has a very professional "feel" to it.

It doesn't have a remote like the LC16M, so you'd have to set that up
seperatly.

Oh, and there does seem to be Linux-drivers for the LC16M:
