Wow, nice blanket statement there.  Judging from the number of people
that successfully have Gentoo working fine, your statement doesn't
hold water.

For the record, I have 5 Gentoo boxes  working with Mythtv, and
various other tasks.  My myth boxes consist of PVR-x50s + HD3000, a
PVR250 slave backend, a dedicated frontend, and 2 part-time frontends
(general purpose desktops.  All run perfectly fine.   Please refrain
from posting FUD.

P.S. "Better" is subjective, as indicated by the dozens of recent
