Certainly. Getting a little back to the original topic "Please shut
up!", one idea which could help prevent duplication of topics which
occurs all too frequently is to try to make any topic which is covered
by the list gets added to the wiki. Then you'll be able to chide
anyone who doesn't look at the wiki and slap them on the wrist. ;-)

That's a good idea, to be sure to note what versions you're sure the
docs apply to. But I imagine that it will be extremely difficult to
keep updated.

Not only that, but perhaps a mythtv-hardware and a mythtv-chat list
would be useful too. Though I'd worry that you could end up with a
good amount of cross-posting from n00bs.

Now if we could only get those top-posters, html posters and "can't be
bothered to trim the irrelevant portions of the message out" people to
follow basic email etiquette we might make more people happy and the
mailing lists more useful.
