Generically, the DHCP server needs to include a 'next-server' value as
part of the DHCP response - this tells the client the IP of the tftp
server. I don't know how you do this with DD-WRT or even if you can.
Simple router-based DHCP servers typically don't have the ability to
set custom values like this.
I turned off the DHCP support in my DSL router and installed dhcpd on
the same server as the tftp and Myth backend. It takes a few minutes
to configure, then you forget it....
As for troubleshooting - your tftp server should be logging somewhere
- /var/log/messages perhaps.... if you're seeing nothing there then
you're probably not getting that far. Try a tftp request from the
shell prompt to 'localhost' and see if anything gets logged.
