As I've pointed out a couple of times now, advertisers increasingly  
*do* want to know statistics about PVR users -- what percentage skip  
commercials, and how much they time-shift their viewing, in  
particular.  TV networks are particularly eager to get this  
information because recent Nielson studies show that the percentage  
of people skipping commercials is lower than had generally been  
assumed.   I think Nielson found that 40% of ads get watched.
