[mythtv-users] Guide Data wiped out if MythTV is left on Main Menu

If you only have one tuner, and are in liveTV mode, then the background EIT
scanner wont be running.  If you're on the main menu and not recording, then
the tuner is free and the background EIT scanner will be running...

So maybe disable the EIT scanner?  Just a possibility, you might be getting
crap data over the air.
