[mythtv-users] mythwelcome doesn't see upcoming recordings

My myth box is successfully scheduling and recording TV shows.  I have now
turned on MythWelcome, but it shows "There are no scheduled recordings" (in
the Next Scheduled Recordings section) when onscreen.
 
Why is MythWelcome not reporting the upcoming scheduled recordings?
