I used an even slower computer (PIII-Celeron 700MHz, 256MB RAM) to watch 
xvid encoded files, mostly tv episodes with a typical resolution of ca. 
620x350 without any problems at all. Top showed something like 15%cpu for 
mplayer. Even playing DVD content from harddisk worked when I used xine 
instead of the internal player. I can't comment on the LiveTV as didn't try 
that until recently with my new computer.
