I frequently transfer stuff from my video camera into Myth, which is the
same thing. Basically I am getting in put from my RCA jacks.
I followed some instructions from Mike:
I setup a separate channel in the Myth backend.
I setup a manual recording for x hours.
When I am done, I go through it and mark the "commericials", in other words
the sections of the taping I don't want to keep.
Then I perform a lossless transcode (keeping it in mpeg2) (all just using
the frontend menus).
Then I either transcode to XVID or leave as is.
