Are you saying that you want to record something, have the user jobs
run, then move the file (as-is) to another hard drive?  Is this other
LVM on-line or off-line?  Would you want it to be accessible from
myth?

I would think storage groups could, potentially, be a solution.
Except that I think storage groups would also record new stuff there
as well.
