I'd wait for official word from Daniel since he's been developing that
branch, but from what I understand the OpenGL stuff is all based on
your video card so upgrading your CPU won't help if using that
renderer, just upgrading the video card. I also remember him saying
its not very optimized at this time, so it needs a lot more horsepower
than he thinks it should when he gets to optimizing things.
