If a new solution is needed, the most bandwidth friendly way of downloading
would be for the myth-backend to parse the line up and ask for schedules for
each channel. That way my backend would ask for some of the same channels as
yours (likely CNN, A&E, etc). Like you, I'm probably the only mythtv user in
my rinky-dink little town.
If new central listings database comes in to being, we may all end up manually
creating our own lineup. But this is WILD speculation. Lets wait for a dev
announcement. I just hope that whatever happens includes stuff for Canada
too. We also use datadirect.
