The 'no longer supported' messages suggest the osd_compat option isn't being 
used. When the ivtv-fb module is loaded with osd_compat=1, you should see 
something like this in the output from dmesg.

ivtv0-fb: Running in compatibility mode. Display resize & mode change disabled
