I have a client who has been using MythTV to display video for in-house use.
They have been using MythTV v-0.18.1 for several years and have made several
custom modifications to the code so they are reluctant to upgrade to a later
version at this time.

They are using a PVR350 for video input.

The system was running fine under Fedora Core 6 using the 2.6.18 kernel.
However, recently one of their developers upgraded the machine to kernel
version 2.6.19 and LiveTV stopped working.

When a user selects Live TV from the menu the system will display one frame
of video and then go to a black screen.

I have connected mplayer to the video input and it plays the video just
fine. I saved a copy of the ring buffer that was being produced by the
backend while the frontend was displaying a black screen. When I play the
saved ring buffer with mplayer, it plays with a little break up at the
beginning but then video looks fine as well. It seems to me that the problem
is in getting the video from the backend to the frontend.

Could someone please suggest to me what might be causing this problem?

Thanks for any assistance you may be able to give me,
Scott.
