[mythtv-users] MythMusic and radio

I've been playing around with MythMusic, and so far, so good.  Myth 
stores its music as .ogg files.

My local NPR station streams content as .mp3.  I've gotten as far as 
getting mplayer to play the mp3.

What I'd really like to do is to get mplayer to send the stream to a 
pipe, then have MythMusic play it.  In other words, have it appear as 
another sound track....

Has anyone done anything with myth + radio integration?
