Some people run this way, but it's not a supported configuration. You  
will likely have window focus issues at some point (typically when  
launching external video players). If you're looking for a quick- 
loading, low overhead window manager, you could try RatPoison. Others  
have been mentioned on this list but I don't recall their names.
