That's definitely not the issue I had.  I would have the missed digits 
on the 2nd recording in a row on a specific box.  (Also, I think my 
receivers--a 4922 and a 311--didn't support the screen saver.)  So, I 
think there may be more going on (but really need some DISH users to 
chime in with, "works for me" or "I see it, too" to know for sure).

However, it's definitely worth a try for the OP.

Does the USB-UIRT have its own timing circuitry?  (I'm guessing it does 
since it's not a serial transmitter.)
