That's never going to happen. The AppleTV officially only supports 5Mbps
720p24 H.264, and I believe that's Quicktime H.264 which is the base
standard and b-frames. The BBC content uses a fair bit more of the H.264
standard(MBAFF being the big one I believe).

It does however make a very neat and pretty SD frontend.
