This is interesting for those of us trying to get MythTV working on a
framebuffer without X. It's qtopia (which is Qt 4), and MythTV uses
Qt 3, but interesting nonetheless.

Sweet! Wow. This is something I sorta kinda started a while ago but
haven't been able to do much with, see qte-directfb on directfb.org.
However, I was using Qt 3 because I want to run MythTV (Qt 3 app) via
DirectFB. What do you think the difficulty would be in backporting
this to Qt 3? Not that I'm asking you to do it, I am curious as to
your professional opinion.

If not now, then certainly when MythTV is ported to Qt 4. But I
imagine that all the embedded folks with DirectFB layers will very
much appreciate it. It seems to me that lots of the traffic on the
directfb lists are folks interested in DirectFB because of the
availabe GTK layer.
