[mythtv-users] Overscan and Nvidia FX 5200

       I have been tinkering with the overscan settings in my box, and
have ended up with a rather frustrating situation.

       I can modify the overscan settings in my xorg.conf file and/or
via nvidia-settings. When I get my recordings to play taking up the
whole of my TV screen's real estate, the MythTV control screens (to
schedule recordings and all that) are too big for my TV screen -
effectively, I lose portions on the four sides of these screens.

      Conversely, when the MythTV control screens fit snugly inside my
TV screen, when playing recordings I have those awful black strips
surrounding the images.

      Is it possible to configure things so that both MythTV's control
screens and the recordings make optimal use of the TV screen's area?
Maybe something to do with the X server resolution at which MythTV is
started? Or something else?
