That depends on how old the cable is. If it's been worn through by wind blowing 
it against tiles on the roof, or the sun has perished the PVC/whatever, or 
there's a pinhole that has let the rain in, or it's been chewed by wildlife, 
it's worth upgrading to new while you have the chance. (Newer cable is high 
density foam, older cable can be honeycomb.)

It's also possible that the original TV grade cable might have a different 
frequency response graph to more modern cables designed for digital transmissions.
