Okay I would still check as I've just retuned mine to get the new "Dave"
channel or was it to get rid of the annoying "Program #14208 not found in
PAT!" message I'm not sure :) . Getting back to the real story, when I
retuned to my suprise I had "BBC 2 Wales" I checked this with the
transmitter data.

Thus I was receiving a transmission from a transmitter that was nearly 130
degrees in the wrong direction. You can use the transport editor in
mythtv-setup to see what transports you've got and then the above website
and this one to check where you've tuned into.

lots cheaper than buying a new card, and a different card may just do the
same. :)
