As much as I'd like to help, I don't currently have a box running trunk 
to fix the storage groups problem.  The second issue should (I think) be 
quite easy to fix - rather than base the filename on chanid & starttime, 
look up the basename of the file instead - that should even cover files 
that have been renamed by mythrename.pl as far as I know.
