Hi

I've just upgraded to Fedora 8 on my test box and have no sound within myth.

The sound works fine on everything else, mplayer etc, just not in myth.

I'm using the latest fixes from atrpms

Mythfrontend log shows this:

Opening ALSA audio device 'default'.
2007-11-10 15:18:57.499 AudioOutput Error: Access type not available:
Invalid argument
2007-11-10 15:18:57.499 AudioOutput Error: Unable to set ALSA parameters
2007-11-10 15:18:57.502 NVP: Disabling Audio, reason is: Unable to set
ALSA parameters

Doing a search on these error messages led me to this page:

http://www.pulseaudio.org/ticket/94

Until a fix becomes available, how do I go about setting alsa to use
dmix by default as suggested in the ticket?

Thanks

Dun
