That's the kicker though, when I go into mythtv-setup it shows up as
having the computers ip address of 192.168.1.20. Does anyone know what
I can do from this point?

You might have opened the necessary ports to allow this, but you
haven't configured the backend properly and/or read the log file:

Your mythbackend server needs to have a real address configured in
order for other mythfrontend/backend clients on the network to be able
to connect to it successfully. One should only specify 127.0.0.1 as
the IP address in mythtv-setup if everything is running on a single
box.
