When you are watching the Myth box you are watching the picture after it
has been encoded, recorded, retrieved from the disk system, decoded,
then possibly scaled and finally displayed. All of this takes time, and
while 4 seconds seems excessive you would certainly expect some
additional delay for all of that to happen.

Remember that watching Live TV is not the primary goal of Myth, and most
users do not use it in that way at all.
