You may want to enable lircd logging by adding -L and
a log file name to your lircd startup command. May
also want to check dmesg to see if anything else could
be going wrong. If you have an IR receiver, you may
want to generate an new lircd.conf file using irrecord
from the remote that would change the channels on the STB.
